• Bio: Stephanie Snyder is the Anne and John Hauberg director and curator of the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery at Reed College, Portland, Oregon. Snyder completed her B.A. at Reed in 1991 and her Ed.M. at Columbia University in 1998. She is the curator of numerous exhibitions, including: Working History (2008); Marko Lulic / Peter Kreider (with Kristan Kennedy), 2007; Marc Joseph, New and Used (2007); Sutapa Biswas, Birdsong (2006); New Trajectories I and II: Recent Work from the Ovitz Family Collection, Los Angeles (2006); Mona Hatoum (2005); Snapshot Chronicles: the Rise of the American Photo Album (2005, traveling); and Daniel Spoerri (2010). In addition, Snyder has engaged in curatorial and cultural projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, with artists and writers such as: MK Guth, Vanessa Renwick, Jessica Jackson Hutchins, Matthew Stadler, and Aaron Peck. Snyder was recently awarded a Curatorial Research Fellowship from the Getty Foundation to support ongoing research on artist Daniel Spoerri.
