[K5M] Purchase a Narrative Clip

Posted on February 3, 2014

Description:

We recently met a friend who had a Narrative Clip and it seems like something a Publicly Traded Person should have.

It takes a photo every 30 seconds and then can create a time lapse video of your day.

The cost is $279.

A yes vote would mean the purchase of the camera and uploading of images for shareholder review.

A no vote would mean, obviously, not purchasing the device.

(NOTE: This is a proposal for K. Mike Merrill, not Jackson Gariety.)

But what about the onslaught of potentially unflattering photos your lady friend will have to endure?!
Mike Merrill
We will just have to not look at her. (KIDDING!) Photos will be edited for appropriate content. The device will be worn only at appropriate times. Perhaps, when together, the device could be worn by the lady friend so that the images are OF the publicly traded person. It is he after all that is the subject, not she.

ABSTAIN. Unless my vote could swing it "no" by some miracle, then I'll stomp it out. I don't even oppose the photos, just having to look at and hug/kiss someone littered with wearables.

So awful and so good. Perfect for this project. Vote yes!

What a nightmare of consent issues. What about children? And businesses? There are too many grey areas and the editing will be a huge burden that Mike can't take on. If the frequency with which he attends to K5M IR affairs is any indication, no one will ever see these! Investors ought to be negotiating the terms of his future postings so they can at least be sure they'll see anything.

These are good points. It does seem silly to spend a couple of hundred bucks on something unless we're going to see results. And generally, *adding* responsibilities to Mike's life is something to do only after careful consideration. What are K5M IR affairs?
arijkem (200.0 shares, voted no)
By "attending to K5M IR affairs" I mean responding to inquiries from current and potential shareholders. Until he can find time to do the dishes and pick his clothes up off the floor, I cannot support adding new responsibilities. : )
Mike Merrill
IR stands for Investor Relations. Mostly the managing of the withdrawals and deposits of funds.

I think the clip will boost the price of the stock, as it will add a personal dimension to Mike's character for those who don't know him. I think editing could be done by choosing to wear the clip at certain times and not choosing to wear it at others. I would prefer an unedited version, but that's just the voyeur in me. This begs the possibility of 'private shareholder only' content, which I would assume is much more banal than it sounds.
Mike Merrill
Ideally the Narrative Clip will ensure that our daily activities are in line with shareholder expectations.
Mike Merrill
The proposal passed and I made the order. it will arrive in March.
